Ingredients

  • Red Layer: 1 cup cranberry juice or strawberry juice
  • White Layer: 1 cup lemonade homemade or tart store-bought lemonade works great
  • Blue Layer: 1 cup blue sports drink or blue raspberry soda
  • Ice: For serving

Instructions

1️⃣ Chill Everything

  • Start by making sure all your drinks are well chilled. I like to chill my pitcher or serving glasses too. The colder everything is, the easier it will be to keep the layers separate.

2️⃣ Pour the Layers

  • First, pour the cranberry or strawberry juice into your glass or pitcher for the red base.
  • Next, take a spoon, flip it upside down, and hold it just above the red layer. Slowly pour the blue drink over the back of the spoon. Go nice and slow so it gently settles on top of the red without mixing.
  • Finally, do the same with the lemonade. Slow and steady wins here, so you get those pretty stripes of color.
  • 👉 Tip: Drinks with more sugar are heavier and should go on the bottom.
  • 👉 Tip: If you tilt the glass just slightly while you pour, you’ll get even cleaner lines between the colors.

3️⃣ Serve Over Ice

  • You can fill each glass with ice before layering if you’re serving individual portions. If you’re making a pitcher, it’s best to layer first and add ice just before serving so the layers stay intact.
  • 👉 If you’re making this ahead, hold off on adding ice until you’re ready to serve. That way, your layers won’t shift or melt together.

Notes

Helpful Tips
  • If your layers blend a bit, don’t worry. It’ll still look fun and taste great.
  • Test out one small glass first to see how your specific drinks layer. Brands can vary in sugar content and weight, so it’s a good way to check before making a full batch.
  • The slower you pour, the better your layers will look. If you’re in a rush, this might be a good job for a helper with a steady hand!
Make It Your Own
There are lots of ways to personalize this punch. Swap in cherry juice or pomegranate juice for the red layer, or try sparkling lemonade for a fizzy middle. Garnish with fruit skewers, mini flags, or fun straws to match the occasion.
